100 Minories is a 270-room luxury hotel built in the heart of London facing Tower Bridge.  Due to its location the site posed many challenges with main arteries of the underground network undercutting part of the development and under the building.  In addition, as the site was almost on the boundary of the Roman City, an extensive archeological investigation was required where a two-storey deep basement was constructed.

At the start of the project, consultants Buchanan Hartley contacted Pegler to support in choosing the correct valves to maximise the efficiencies of the hot water system.  Pegler’s technical team produced commissioning schedules,  for the hot water service returns and balancing, in conjunction with the consultants to the specific requirements of the building.  An extensive range of Pegler Valves including, Butterfly, Cast Iron Strainer, commissioning and Isolation in addition to the Pegler VSH XPress Copper heat free system were fitted.

What  the installer said:

Matt Austin, Site Engineer said: “We have used Pegler products on this job because they are a well-established brand that’s very reliable.  Their VSH XPress range offered us ease of fitting and no hot works which was ideal for the range of applications we had from bathroom pods to plant room connections, we used VSH XPress from 15 through to 67 inch.

“We were really impressed with the support given by the Pegler team, they are very knowledgeable and supported us through the whole process.”

Pegler will be exhibiting at this year's MIY exhibition, which takes place at the Centenary Pavilion in Leeds on May 23. To join them or to register for tickets for the event click on the banner below; and don't forget to visit our new websitewww.madeinyorkshireexpo.co.uk
